Program Director of Exodus Poughkeepsie Office

Joined Exodus in August 2014 as a Dutchess County Reentry Coordinator. A few months after I began, I was promoted to program director and continued with the Re-Entry coordinator responsibilities.  My initial goal when I started with the organization was to reconnect the Exodus Transitional Community to the Dutchess County agencies, the community, and especially with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS/PAROLE).  Prior to joining Exodus, I spent 14 years with Family of Woodstock, Inc.: a nonprofit organization in Ulster County. My primary responsibilities as the Adult Case Management Services (ACMS)- Assistant Program Director was supervising bilingual case managers, developing and coordinating the Reentry program in Ulster County, and the development of the ACMS for the community. Before I joined Family of Woodstock, I spent 12 years as a residential coordinator and LPN for special needs youth at a residential group home in Staatsburg, NY.
As a member of the RUPCO Board of Directors for 6 consecutive years and 5 years as a Human Rights commissioner in Ulster county, I have been able to advocate for and assist the Latin community in Ulster County.
