Close Rikers & Beyond Rosie’s
As directly impacted leaders, we work alongside our colleagues in the movement to end mass incarceration. As active leaders on both the Close Rikers and Beyond Rosie's campaigns, we understand that it is only through collective leadership and collaboration that we will reach our goals.
We are working to decarcerate NYC, close Rikers Island — the most notorious jail complex in the country, and design humane facilities where individual needs are met for those we cannot decarcerate today, but we also continue to build innovative ways to decarcerate in the future, so fewer people are adversely affected by the criminal justice system and mass incarceration.
