Newburgh
Exodus Transitional Community’s Newburgh program provides holistic reentry, recovery, and violence prevention services to individuals and families across Newburgh, NY. With a team composed of over 90% justice-impacted staff, our trauma-informed approach is grounded in lived experience, peer mentorship, and community collaboration.
The Newburgh program supports individuals at every stage of reentry through peer-led recovery groups, job readiness training, youth mentorship, and substance use support services. Participants can engage in Healing Circles, Anger Management, and access Virtual Substance Use Treatment through our Virtual Wellness Center, offering personalized and confidential care from home.
To promote safety and reduce harm, we lead community-based violence prevention efforts such as Project Rise and the GIVE Grant initiative, which focus on youth outreach, education, and healing-centered engagement.
Our employment readiness pathway includes the Wilderness Program, which helps returning citizens build job skills through resume writing, mock interviews, and professional development. Participants also benefit from digital and financial literacy, job placement, retention services, and access to professional clothing—ensuring they are prepared to succeed in today’s workforce.
Whether someone is seeking recovery support in Newburgh, looking to reenter the workforce, or in need of community connection, Exodus offers a place to heal, grow, and lead.
