Workforce Development
Exodus Transitional Community’s Workforce Development Program provides job readiness and reentry employment services in NYC for justice-involved adults seeking meaningful, long-term careers. Through a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, the program helps participants build the skills, confidence, and tools needed for both personal and professional growth after incarceration.
At the core of the program is Walking Through Wilderness, a two-week employment readiness intensive focused on career coaching for reentry, emotional wellness, and building community. Participants engage in resume and cover letter development, mock interviews, and soft skills training that addresses stigma, accountability, and workplace expectations.
In addition to preparation, the program supports individuals through job placement, retention strategies, and employment support after incarceration. Whether it's dressing for success or creating a LinkedIn profile, Exodus ensures participants are equipped with everything they need to thrive in the workforce.
